World-Class Microbial Resources Driving Innovation in Biosciences and BioindustryMIRRI-ERIC (Microbial Resource Research Infrastructure — European Research Infrastructure Consortium) is the European research infrastructure dedicated to microbial resources and biodiversity, established by the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1204 of 16 June 2022. By offering access to a wide array of harmonised, high-quality microbial resources, data, and services in full legal compliance, MIRRI-ERIC accelerates research and innovation in biosciences and the bioindustry. MIRRI-ERIC brings together 47 microbial domain Biological Resource Centres (mBRCs), culture collections, and research institutes from eight European countries, being Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Portugal, and Spain Members and Romania an Observer. MIRRI-ERIC envisions a greener, healthier, and more sustainable world, built on the responsible preservation, systematic investigation, provision, and valorisation of microbial resources and biodiversity. |
