Portugal hosts the statutory seat of MIRRI-ERIC and has been a Member since 2022, proudly hosting the MIRRI-Portugal Node, which coordinates the activities of Portugal Partners.

The node focuses on providing access to high-quality microbial resources, fostering research collaborations, and supporting industrial applications in bioscience-related sectors. It plays a key role in standardising methodologies, improving microbial conservation, and promoting education and training initiatives.
